The Roskayan Republic, also known simply as Roskaya is a unitary parliamentary republic under a stratocratic oligarchy located in Western Noskyavia. It is bordered in the north by The Xaviet Empire, to the east by Vandburg, and to the south by Mayakava.

Roskaya was created by a Zoloti tribe known as the Rosk, after they fled from the infamous conquerer known as Tnngrnöküuruqmkhaghane. Settling in the region that is now the Dozesk Capital District and Roskgorod Oblast, the Rosk tribe disintegrated into a collective of raider-tribes known as the Razboyniki.

The Razboyniki would unify under Varlam Seryov, better known as “Varlam the Owlish”, who proclaimed himself Grand Prince of the Rosk. His son and successor, Klyment Seryov (also known as “Klyment the Peacemaker”) would further centralized control and proclaim himself Korol (King) of Roskaya.

Further Korols would expand both the size of Roskaya and their own power, at the expense of the aristocratic Boyars. Korol Vladimir III would convert Roskaya to the Axonite faith, and become known as “Vladimir the Messenger”. Further centralization would occur under Korol Pavel II, who would both sideline the Boyars and the traditional clergy of Axonity.

Korol Pavel II would eventually fully centralize both political and religious control around himself, declaring himself both Imperator of a new Roskayan Empire and Patriarch of a new Axonite Church. Pavel II would posthumously be given the title “the Bogatyr”, or “the Hero”.
