Feuraxia, officially the 999 Usean Combine of Feuraxia is a country occupying the central region on the continent of Usea. It shares a river border with Tertania, and a land border with Usman, Salazeel, Moira and the NEI South Usean Raj. Feuraxia is an independent state that controls a multitude of 999 affiliated satellites in South Usea. The most populous city is Port Patterson (8 million), and its national capital is Castillia.

The central region of Usea was a key trading route between the North Pike Ocean and Eastern Kingdoms during the late iron age and early middle ages. In the 1400s, the native Salistrox were subjugated by the Beran Empire which executed a ruthless extermination campaign. The land was then conquered by the Boerealian Empire some 300 years later. Feuraxia was a colonial protectorate of the Boerealian crown until they gained independence in 1914. After this point Feuraxia held territorial possessions in South Usea and Noskyavia for a time. Head of state Marshal Sydney died in 1973, with which came the implosion of the traditional parties. Casiro Pershing, CEO of the Bank of Feuraxia seized control of the government through immense financial leveraging. The Confederated Bankers of Feuraxia spent the last third of the century embroiled in a hot war against Daulmark for control over strategic resources in South Usea. The Treaty of Maiti was signed in 2022 that ended the war on unfavorable terms to Feuraxia. The Great Divine Mahdi Oofler launched a revolution the same year which overthrew the government and instated a new Baalist order. He died a year later of natural causes. The current Mahdi of Feuraxia is Gulf Rudholm. His main agenda is to establish the 999 faction as the dominant power and eliminate all Zendirists in Usea.

Feuraxia is a highly developed country by international standards. Citizens enjoy a vibrant multi-ethnic society and strong sense of community. Feuraxia is an industrial and agricultural exporter that specialises in automobile production and general manufacturing. However there are numerous regional problems with integrating South Useans displaced by war and containing infectious diseases. This is alongside suffering the consquences of a serious obesity epidemic and lack of environmental responsibility.

Etymology

The name Feuraxia is a Boerealean translation of the native Usean word Salistrox. The word Salis according to old texts from the middle ages was the name for the Northern river of which the first settlements in Central Usea originated. The word 'trox' meant people, so together they created the word Salis-trox, or Northern river people. The various settlements of Central Usea were comprised of several disjointed duchies and fiefdoms for much of the region's early history. Eventually these settlements unified in the 15th century to form the Kingdom of Salistrox, which was conquered by the Beran Empire. They lost much of their cultural identity during the 300 year Beran occupation, and became 'Boerealeanised' following the liberation of the region by the Boerealean Empire. Hence why the original native name was translated to become 'Feuraxia'.
